Membership Fee:  $150.00 (+ GST)

Companies and individuals directly involved in the wilderness tourism industry. Voting member. Full membership benefits, excluding participation in Yukon Wild Marketing program. Fee: $150 +GST

Individuals, organizations or companies not directly involved in the industry as operators but support the objectives of the WTAY. Non-voting member.  All other membership benefits, excluding participation in Yukon Wild Marketing program. Fee $150 +GST

Member-based non-profit organizations. Non-voting member.  Membership fee of $150 +GST may be waived in exchange for WTAY membership in organizations, project partnerships, information, or other benefits.

Waiver agreement

As a Member of the Wilderness Tourism Association of the Yukon, I support the principles of responsible wilderness tourism as outlined in the Code of Conduct for Operating Wilderness Tours (adopted by WTAY membership on Oct. 2002). I agree that these guidelines are best practices that should be followed by all wilderness tourism operators, their employees and customers.

Membership fees are due prior to the Annual General Meeting in September/October each year. Memberships run July 1 to June 30 – new members may join any time, but fees will not be pro-rated.  Please send application with a cheque or e-transfer (info@wtay.com) payable to Wilderness Tourism Association of the Yukon to:

Yukon Wild

Yukon Wild membership information

Yukon Wild is a marketing program under WTAY whose main objective is to drive conversions to operators through both paid and unpaid media, consumer and trade shows, sponsorship and partnerships, and other opportunities that align with the program.

Members of Yukon Wild are required to be licensed under the Wilderness Tourism Licensing Act of the Yukon. The membership supports eco-tourism best practices as outlined in WTAY’s Code of Conduct for Operating Wilderness Tours.
